Abraham is a doctoral researcher in Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University.
His research focuses on efficiency, multilingual representation learning, and understanding how knowledge in language models can be transferred across different models. He currently leads the cross-institutional Non-canonical Efficiency research group. Previously, He was a lead researcher at Intron, building language and speech models for languages in Africa and NEMA.

Beyond research, he is passionate about mentoring aspiring AI researchers and building open science ML communities. He is actively involved with communities like Masakhane and ML Collective. He spends time unwinding by playing 8-ball pool and tennis.
