Terry Howald is a software engineer and physicist by training who currently works in web development. While his professional focus is on the web, his personal research is rooted in the "DIY" spirit—from building energy storage systems to using Python and Graph Neural Networks to simulate atomic structures. He is currently focused on bridging the gap between material science and machine learning to build "virtual labs" for rapid iteration in solid-state device design. When he isn’t at his desk, Terry is likely learning to speak Thai or enjoying a 1950s sci-fi movie.
